As we enter 2022, we would like to take the opportunity to look back on what has been an incredibly eventful 2021 for our team, and thank everyone involved for their support.
Undoubtedly, the market continues to be shaken by the economic repercussions of Covid-19. The crisis has affected all of us, forcing us to make many difficult decisions. But at Glavista, we have stayed focused on long-term business sustainability, always putting our clients at the center of our decision-making. That is why - despite the turbulences in the market - we came out stronger at the end of 2021, with renewed enthusiasm to face whatever the future holds.
Looking back, a significant moment for us last year was the renaming of the company, from Guardian Automotive to Glavista. For over a year, we had been operating as an independent company, focusing on Autoglass solutions.
The new name was launched at an event back in September, where a whole host of customers, partners and stakeholders helped us celebrate in great style. We were delighted to have them on board for the announcement of our new brand. The evening was made even more special by guest speaker and former F1 icon Marc Webber, who shared incredible stories from his colorful career.
Another exciting aspect of our business that we have already shared with you is our investment plan. As part of a bigger growth strategy that will help us achieve even more success in the coming years, state-of-the-art equipment - including the laminated vacuum bag oven, new washing machinery - have already been fully installed.
On top of that, a new laboratory and automatic inspection system will be already operational in the next weeks. As such, we have been able to fulfil an even greater range of orders for our customers in the OE and Aftermarket. The main pillars of this ambitious plan are quality, efficiency, and new technologies, to provide A-class customer experience.
And there is more to come. Our talented team is currently working on the installation of a brand new furnace to be ready at the end of this year. These will allow us to enlarge our offer in volume and range, permitting to manufacture both laminated and tempered glass in our Center of Excellence in Llodio. In other words, the future is looking bright.
And as always, the values that brought us to the top of our game will remain at the core of our offering as Glavista in 2022. Our main drivers are still an unwavering commitment to quality, and outstanding customer service.
