Correct calibration is incredibly important, both for the car, and for the driver. If the camera is not calibrated exactly right after replacing the windscreen, the car’s assistance systems will not work properly, putting the driver and others at potential risk. Moreover, if an accident occurs after no or faulty calibration, there may well be problems with insurance cover.
So whether you do your own, or outsource your calibration, it is important to understand the process. That is why we have produced a video clip of a live calibration demonstration at the recent Automech event, using the Hella Gutmann System.
